Sometimes we receive rescue Schnauzers that are in need of special care. It might be a medical condition that requires regular medication, it might be an amputee, and the special needs may be short term or permanent. Whatever the case, these special dogs need special owners who understand the illness or injury, and can provide the care and affection the dog needs in order to live out a comfortable life. But what happens if we can't find a family for a special needs dog? We want to emphasize that we would never euthanize a dog that has a manageable medical condition and a good quality of life. While our goal is to find a forever home for every adoptable dog, those who have not been adopted live out their lives with us, in loving foster homes where they receive the care - and the affection - they deserve. In order to better educate dog owners and potential adopters, we will be making information available about specific dogs up for adoption, and there needs, as well as educational articles and information for general needs such as diabetes, allergies, arthritis, and more. Please visit this page often as we update the list of articles.
